The Eagles outdid themselves at one of the best concerts of 2001 as they christened Invesco Field
at Mile High opening night August 11.

Vermont. One of several attempts at a mini-DXpedition. It was 1985 and I was operating from a hotel
room in Winooski, Vermont during a business trip. It met with limited success because my
antenna was just a long wire to a lamp post.
I soon learned that operating on a business trip is
better done with a mobile setup in a rental car. Once I tried the Hustler clamp-on trunk lip mount I never
operated from a hotel room again.
In the 1990's I used a Kenwood TS-440SAT and a Hustler with a trunk mount. I logged 100,000 miles on multiple trips,
from Florida during
a hurricane to the shores of Maui, Hawaii. Those contacts made the time off away from home fly by.

Before the days of having a tilt over tower I had the thrills of tower climbing. I put this tower
up in March, 1985 and used the TH6 for several years before switching off to a 205BA.
I moved
and sold it all off in May, 1991.
