Tour of Ball Aerospace

If you would like to tour the Ball Aerospace facilities on April 14, 2001, please RSVP by email to Phil Mehalko, KC0EOE, KC0EOE@arrl.net. If you don't have email service, then you can RSVP via the Colorado AMSAT net. (Wednesdays nights at 20:00 local time on the 147.225 repeater.)
The tour will take approximately 1-2 hours and will include fabrication and test areas for aerospace hardware. If we're lucky, we'll also get to see a real live satellite!
Note that the tour is only open to legal citizens of the United States. No photographs can be taken. These are security requirements of Ball Aerospace.
Directions to Ball Aerospace are as follows:
1. Follow US36 (Boulder Turnpike) northwest to the Foothills Parkway.
2. Exit on Foothills Parkway and then turn right at Arapahoe. (Arapahoe will be the third light on Foothills after exiting US36.)
3. East on Arapahoe, turn left on Commerce and follow signs to the visitor entrance. (Commerce Street will be the first light after turning on Arapahoe.)
Once on Arapahoe, you can use the following map to get the visitors center at Ball. We'll meet there around 10:00 and the tour will commence at 10:15.
